The Research Center for Steel, Timber and Masonry is recognised as a testing, monitoring and certification body for many building products and types of construction in accordance with the state building regulations.

A certificate of conformity is issued if the construction product
1) complies with the relevant technical regulations, the general approval under building law, the general test certificate under building law or the approval in individual cases and
2) is subject to factory production control and external monitoring. External monitoring must be carried out by monitoring bodies. External monitoring must regularly check whether the construction product complies with the relevant technical regulations, the general building approval, the general building test certificate or the approval in individual cases.
